Nick Maly PT, DPT - Owner

Completed both his undergraduate and Doctorate of Physical Therapy degrees at Saint Louis University in Saint Louis, Missouri.

Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Nick moved to California in 2013 and has been with Muller & Weber ever since.

Specialties and Certifications include: manual techniques, vestibular therapy, and treatment of TMJ dysfunction.

When not working, Nick can be found in the Santa Ynez Valley spending time outdoors with his wife and two young daughters.
Karin Roosendaal Jones PT
Physical Therapist, Home Health Director
Graduated from the Academy for Physical Therapy in Haarlem, the Netherlands in 1985.
With more than 25 years of experience, Karin worked in Switzerland before moving to the United States and incorporates her international teachings and experience into her treatments.
Specialties and Certifications include: home health care, orthopedics and geriatric training.
Karin most enjoys horseback riding, skiing, traveling and camping with her husband and daughters.
Asa Rosenfield, PT, DPT
Clinical Physical Therapist
Clinic Director - Carpinteria
Graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a B.A. in Film and Digital Media and earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2015.
Asa worked as an Aide at Muller & Weber prior to becoming a PT, and officially rejoined the team in 2016. He is the lead clinical therapist at our new location in Carpinteria, CA.
Specialties and Certifications include: Graston technique, as well as advanced education and training in treating cervical spine, lumbopelvic, and myofascial conditions.
Asa most enjoys spending free time with his wife and young son, two dogs and barbecuing with friends.
Lauren Beard, PT, DPT
Board-Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist
Clinical Physical Therapist
Attended William and Mary on a basketball scholarship and received her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology in 2003 before obtaining her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2009.
A California native, Lauren worked in a number of outpatient settings and specialties before moving back to Santa Barbara and joining the Muller & Weber team in 2015.
Specialties and Certifications include: Cranio-sacral therapy, nationally certified massage therapist, advanced courses and training in manual therapy.
In her free time, she can be found spending time with her family, doing yoga, walking her dog, or hanging out at the beach.
Jean DeBettignies MA, PT
Clinical Physical Therapist
Holds a BS degree in Physical Therapy and a Masters degree in Education.
Jean's incredible reputation in our community precedes her. Previously the successful owner/operator of the renowned Precision Biomechanics PT in Santa Barbara, we are fortunate to have her on the Muller & Weber team.
Specialties and Certifications: foot and ankle biomechanics, US patent on custom orthopedic sandals, athletic training
In her spare time, Jean likes to sail the Santa Barbara Channel, hike the foothills, and ride her bike.
Megan Carter, PT, DPT

Completed her undergraduate degree in Health Science from California State University of Long Beach in 2012 and graduated from Northwestern University in 2019 with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

From 2012 to 2014, Megan worked as an Aide at Muller & Weber, and is happy to be back on the PT staff

Specialties and Certifications include: aquatic therapy and extensive research, presentation and assistance in writing clinical practice guidelines for shoulder instability for the APTA.

When she’s not at the pool, you can find Megan in her hometown of Ventura at the beach, playing with her dog, hiking, or training for open water swim competitions.
Pauline del Castillo, PT, DPT
Clinical Physical Therapist
Completed her undergraduate degree in Marine Biology at the University of California, Los Angeles in 2005 before pursuing her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Loma Linda University and graduating with honors in 2010.
Pauline worked in multiple PT settings including acute trauma, skilled nursing, and outpatient orthopedics before joining the PT team at Muller & Weber.
Specialties and Certifications: comprehensive continuing education in outpatient orthopedics, and kinesiotape application. ASTYM certified provider.
Outside of the clinic, Pauline enjoys cooking, spending time with her family and watching documentaries.
Sayeh Zolfonoon PT, DPT
Clinical Physical Therapist

Received her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2016 and completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Southern California in 2021.

Gabriel Loza PT, DPT
Clinical Physical Therapist

Born and raised in Santa Barbara, Gabriel is a San Marcos High School graduate. He then attended Santa Barbara City College before transferring to Sonoma State where he graduated with a Bachelor's in Kinesiology. Gabriel attended West Coast University where he graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.

Gabriel joined the Muller and Weber team in 2021.

Gabriel has experience treating a wide variety of patient populations including geriatric, pediatric, and high level athletes.

When he's not in the clinic, Gabriel enjoys going to the beach, hiking, traveling, and cooking.

Graduated from Maria College in Albany, New York in 2003 with an Associates Degree of Applied Science and a PTA certificate.
One of our longest standing clinical staff, Laura has been with Muller & Weber since 2003.
Laura enjoys hiking, camping with her family and BBQs with friends.
Paul Twedt
Physical Therapy Assistant
Received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communications from San Francisco State University and obtained his Physical Therapy Assistant degree in 2010.
Paul has been with Muller & Weber for over 10 years , working at both the Clinic and Aquatic Center.
When not working, Paul enjoys time with his wife, participating in extended meditation retreats, back country trail running, biking, and paddle boarding.
